Hello everyone and welcome back to our blog, it's me Aria here today! I'm going to be showing you a mostly easy and simple way on how to knit doll leg warmers, using the knit, purl, knit, purl method! You can decrease the number of stitches and how many rows you do if you would like to make these for a smaller doll, if you do a tip is to do it slightly smaller than what you think as then the wool can stretch and fit perfectly! If you know us well and are wondering why it is me Aria writing this (the person who has no idea what ballet even is) is writing this that is because I made them as a present for Valencia as she is my secret Valentine, but anyways lets get started!
Firstly, here is what you need! Wool- we used light glittery pink, knitting needles 4.5 mm, plastic sewing needle for stitching them together, we would recommend a wool needle but we don't have one so this is probably the next best thing and finally scissors!First, using the knit type of stitch, you need to cast on 14 stitches!
Then, you can do just knit but we think it looks better if you do knit purl, etc but because we cast on with knit we started purl, knit and so on. Here are the rows:
Then, cast off using simple knit and that is the main part done!
Then, you want to stich up the side, we recommend facing the side you want to be seen on the inside but we accidentally did it the wrong way for the first one but it doesn't affect it!
Now, your first leg warmer is complete!
Follow the same steps again and you will then have a pair of leg warmers!
